Kurukshetra - A Second Battle

I didn't have initially an idea to write this but the circumstances prompted me to. The incident gained popularity and all the attention of the media, days after the Mumbai blasts. Right from a kid to a 'second' child; from a lay man to the prime minister of India, one person was the centre of attraction of the whole nation. Yes, it was none other than the 5 year old innocent Prince. Really was he; or did he become one?

At the outset, when you see the whole incident, it just appears as a boy fell into a 60 feet fit, stayed alive for about 50 hours and was helped out of it with the help of the army.

What's more special is that the place is KURUKSHETRA, the boy was PRINCE and he did wage a battle - not with another prince for 18 days, but with the forces of nature for about 50 hours. The whole of the nation's eyes was on him. Ofcourse, he came out successfull! We do not know how many prayed to bring the 'epic' war to a stop, but the whole of Bharath prayed for this prince. Ofcourse, their prayers were answered. A second pit was dug quite adjacent to the one in which fell the boy and a tunnel was cut between the two pits. A soldier entered through them and when he returned up with the boy the whole place was in a roar. What say of his parents? It should have been a happier moment to them than when he was born. Courageous he should have been throughout the period he was inside the pit.

Incidentally Sunday was his birthday and indeed it was a Re-Birth to him!
